Shipping policy

Shipping is free on every order, to every destination we serve. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Import duties, where they apply, are set by your local authorities and are not included.

Every Crème DU CRIME book is printed to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting, which means production comes first and shipping starts after it.

Printing takes about 3 to 5 business days. Hardcover editions take a little longer because of the binding and the case finish. You will receive a confirmation with tracking as soon as your order leaves the press.

Where we print from

We work with a global production network with facilities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Australia and India. Each order is routed automatically to the closest available facility to your delivery address, which keeps transit times and customs handling as short as possible.

Delivery estimates

The windows below cover production and transit together, counted from the moment you place the order. They are business days and they are estimates, not guarantees. Your checkout will always show the estimate for your specific address.

Hawaii, Alaska and remote territories take longer than the continental estimate. Faster methods are available at checkout where your address supports them.

Shipping methods

Depending on your destination you may be offered Mail, Priority Mail, Ground, Expedited or Express. Mail and Priority Mail are the economy options and are the slowest on international routes, where they can take up to 28 business days and may travel without tracking. If you need your order to arrive by a specific date, choose an expedited method at checkout.

Customs, duties and taxes

Orders shipped outside the production country may be subject to import duties or taxes set by your local authorities. These are not included in the price at checkout and are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over these charges and cannot estimate them in advance.

Delays

Once a package is with the carrier, delivery is out of our hands. Customs inspections, weather and carrier backlogs can push a delivery past the estimate. If your order has passed the top of its window with no movement, write to us at hello.cremeducrime@gmail.com with your order number and we will chase it with the carrier.

Wrong address

Shipping addresses can be corrected within 24 hours of purchase, before the order enters production. After that the address is locked into the print job. Orders returned to us as undeliverable because of an incorrect address can be reshipped once the customer covers the new shipping cost.

Lost or damaged in transit

If your book arrives damaged or does not arrive at all, contact us at hello.cremeducrime@gmail.com with your order number and, for damage, a photo. We will send a free replacement. You will not need to return the damaged copy.
